For the exhibition “Chilling in a box” I’ve done intensive experimental research with Cotton Candy and analyzing the reactions of the material to the different conditions.
For instance, draping cotton candy on a wire to see if the cotton candy connects to other materials, using air to see if it’s possible to levitate a piece of cotton candy, or putting cotton candy in an airtight, glass container to see if and how cotton candy changes.

People could experience this experimental journey at the Dutch Design Week through a movie that shows the ephemeral life of the material. Next to this they could also see and touch my translation of levitated cotton candy into jewellery design.

“Cotton candy in a box” / The research of captured levitation is the possibility to levitate a piece of cotton candy. The cotton candy is captured in a tiny box which you can carry with you (and which you can turn into jewellry for example)”
